The TikTok ad library: what to look for in it

Top TikTok ads by country and industry

Also available in: Tiếng Việt

CIA's ads library returns top TikTok ads by country and industry, not a lookup by brand name. That distinction matters: it is a tool for finding ideas by industry, not for tracking one competitor. To track a specific brand, use the other tool.

What it returns

Ads library — 15 credits per run, 3 pages of results — gives you a list of ads performing well in one industry in one country, with the creative and advertiser information.

What it does not do: search by brand name. If you want to know what one specific brand is running, see multi-platform ad radar — 20 credits, 60 ads — but note that the radar covers Facebook/Instagram, Google and LinkedIn, not TikTok. The reason is in the last section.

Three things you can learn

1. The first-three-seconds structure working in the industry. Of the first 20 ads, count how many open with a question, how many with a problem, how many with a result. The pattern in the majority is the one validated for that industry.

2. The format in use. One person talking, product demo, fast multi-cut. The winning format differs by industry, and this is the cheapest place to read it.

3. How price is discussed. Which industries state price directly in the ad and which do not. This is an industry convention, and going against it usually costs money.

Turning it into work

Do not copy creatives. Do this:

  1. Run it once for your industry. Save the 10 ads you find most convincing.
  2. Write out the structure of each: what the first three seconds say, what the middle says, what the ending says.
  3. Find the structure appearing in at least five of the ten.
  4. Make one video on that structure with your product and your voice.

Step 3 is the important one. A structure appearing once is one advertiser's choice; appearing five times is a tested convention.

Why there is no TikTok brand-name lookup

TikTok's own Commercial Content Library covers only the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland. It holds ads published from 1 October 2022 and keeps each for one year after it was last shown (TikTok, accessed 21/09/2026).

Which means no public source exists for a Vietnamese brand's TikTok ads by name. Anyone promising that is promising something that does not exist.

Can I copy a creative

Learning the structure, yes. Copying the video outright is both useless (the audience has already seen it) and a copyright question — see downloading TikTok videos and when it is allowed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I tell which ad spends the most? No. No library publishes spend.

How many ads is 3 pages? It depends on industry and country. A narrow industry returns fewer than the maximum.

Can I filter by city within Vietnam? No. The unit is the country.
