Terms of Service

Effective 18 September 2026

1. What the service is

CIA (Customer Insight Analyst) is a website owned and run by an individual ("we" or "the operator"); the operator's details are in the General terms of trade. It is web software for analysing PUBLIC data from social networks, ad libraries, marketplaces, places and review sites, job listings, websites, app stores and real estate. Each tool run is paid in credits. CIA is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any platform it analyses; platform names only identify where public data comes from.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 to create an account and pay. When you use an account you agree:

  • to give accurate sign-up details and keep them up to date;
  • to keep your password secret; you are responsible for everything done with your account;
  • not to create several accounts to claim promotions, referral commission or to get around usage limits;
  • not to sell, rent or share your account with anyone outside your organisation.

3. Credits, monthly plans and payment

Credits are prepaid through PayOS (VND) or PayPal (USD) under the Payment policy. Each tool shows its credit price on the run button before you run it; prices may change for later runs. Monthly plans (such as Competitor Watch) take credits at the start of each cycle and renew while your wallet has enough; you can cancel at any time and the plan runs to the end of the paid cycle. Credits cannot be exchanged for money or moved to another account. A run that fetches no data is refunded automatically under the Refund policy.

4. Allowed and prohibited use

Use the service only for market research, competitor and customer analysis, and content or advertising planning. You must not:

  • harass, threaten, defame, impersonate, track or pressure any person, including commenters and reviewers;
  • contact, spam or advertise to people who appear in a report, or use reports to build lists of people for direct marketing;
  • use the data to discriminate, or to infer sensitive personal data (health, religion, politics, sexual orientation…);
  • resell, republish or redistribute raw data from the service, including as an API or dataset;
  • use bots or scripts for bulk access, get around limits, access locks or security measures, or probe for vulnerabilities without written permission;
  • use the service against Vietnamese law, including rules on cybersecurity, personal data protection, intellectual property and advertising.

5. Ads, reviews and videos

Ads, reviews, posts and videos fetched by the service belong to their advertisers, authors or owners. Use them for internal research only: do not copy someone else's ad as your own, do not republish reviews or comments, and only download or use a video you have the rights to. Rights holders can file a complaint through the Data request page.

6. Data and analysis results

Data is a snapshot taken at run time from public sources, so it may be incomplete, out of date or different from the platform at another time. Figures such as sentiment, complaint themes, engagement or fake-account share are automated estimates, not conclusions. Check them before you make decisions; we promise no business outcome.

7. Ownership

The software, interface, the CIA brand and the report layouts belong to the operator. Reports you create may be used for your own and your organisation's work, including Excel/CSV exports. Original content inside a report still belongs to its owner. We do not sell your account data or reports and do not use them to train artificial intelligence models.

8. Third-party platforms and services

Data depends on the original platforms and our data providers. When they change or stop, a tool may be slow, incomplete or suspended; we may switch off a failing tool without notice. Runs that fetch no data are refunded. Payments through PayOS and PayPal and Google sign-in are also subject to those parties' terms.

9. Availability, maintenance and report storage

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will never be interrupted; planned or urgent maintenance may happen. Report content is deleted automatically after 90 days; export to Excel/CSV if you need to keep it longer.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account for breaching these terms, payment fraud, or at the request of a competent authority. Credits of an account closed for a breach are not refunded.

11. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss such as lost revenue, lost business or lost data arising from using or being unable to use the service. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the amount you paid in the 6 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This does not exclude consumer rights that the law does not allow to be excluded.

12. Indemnity

You are responsible for, and will indemnify the operator against, third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms or unlawful use of data from the service.

13. Changes to these terms

For material changes we give notice on the website or by email at least 7 days before they take effect and update the date at the top. Using the service after that date means you accept the change; if you do not, you can stop using it and delete your account.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Vietnamese law. Disputes are first settled by negotiation under the Complaints procedure, and otherwise by the competent court in Vietnam. Your rights under the Law on Protection of Consumers' Rights are not affected.

15. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, widespread network failures, power cuts, infrastructure provider outages or decisions of state authorities.

16. General

If a term is held invalid, the rest remain in force. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. The Privacy policy, General terms of trade, Payment policy, Pricing policy, Service conditions and limits, and Service delivery, termination and refunds form part of these terms.
