Track competitors on a schedule instead of when you remember

Checking on competitors when you remember means you always learn a month late. Tracking on a schedule changes the question from "what did they do" to "what did they just do", and that is the difference between learning and copying too late. This page is about who to watch and what to measure.
Where to start
You do not know who to watch. Read picking five competitors to track. The number five is not arbitrary: it is the tool's limit for one cycle, and it is also how many channels one person can actually read each week.
You want to know when a rival has a breakout. Read spotting a breakout video.
You are weighing doing it by hand. Read manual checks versus automated tracking.
The tool that goes with it
Competitor watch is a cycle package rather than pay per run: 249 credits for 30 days, up to 5 channels, and each scan reads each channel's 15 most recent posts.
It flags two kinds of movement, on fixed thresholds rather than on feel:
- Breakout video — a post reaching roughly three times the channel's usual level and gaining at least a thousand interactions. Both conditions at once, so a small channel is not alarmed by one video nudging upward.
- Follower step change — a change of roughly 2% and at least five hundred people. Same reasoning: percentage alone alarms small channels constantly, absolute numbers alone never alarm large ones.
Every number is an estimate from public data the platform displays, not the tracked channel's internal analytics.
What it does not do
It does not reveal revenue, ad budget or order counts. It does not find anyone's email or phone number. And it does not check whether an account is still active or has been banned.
Frequently asked questions
Why only five channels? Because each channel costs many data calls per day over 30 days, and because past five channels nobody reads the whole report.
Can I track other platforms? This package tracks TikTok channels. For one person across platforms, use the multi-platform report per run.
Do competitors know they are being tracked? No. The tool reads only what their channel displays publicly, the same as opening their page.
