Finding products that are selling on TikTok Shop

A TikTok Shop product page publicly displays units sold, price and review count. Those three numbers are enough to tell whether a product is moving or stalled, even though they do not reveal real revenue. The right use is to compare within one niche, not to read absolute figures.
Why this niche is worth researching
In the first half of 2026 Vietnam's four large marketplaces recorded roughly USD 10.2 billion in gross merchandise value, with TikTok Shop at 43.4% market share, up 27% year on year (Vietnam Briefing, accessed 21/09/2026). The market is large enough for a small niche to work, and crowded enough that wrong stock means dead inventory.
Three numbers worth reading
1. Units sold against review count. This ratio is remarkably stable within a niche. A product with very high units and very few reviews is usually newly pushed, or the units figure pools several variants.
2. Price against the niche median. Which price point the sellers are winning at matters more than which product is winning. It tells you the range the market accepts.
3. How many shops sell the same thing. Many shops selling it means sourcing is easy and margins are already thin.
How to search
TikTok Shop radar — 15 credits per run, 3 pages of results — takes a keyword and returns products with price, units sold and shop information.
Type keywords the way buyers do, not the way sellers describe:
| Do not type | Type instead |
|---|---|
| phone accessories | desk phone stand |
| household goods | mini handheld vacuum |
| food | low-sugar breakfast bars |
Run three or four keywords per niche. Each surfaces a different set of products, and the least-searched set is usually where margin remains.
What public data does not say
No marketplace publishes a shop's real revenue. Units sold is the figure the product page displays, and how it is calculated is not published. Every competitor revenue figure you see anywhere is multiplied out from here.
That does not make the data useless. It makes it comparable: product A showing ten times the units of product B in the same niche is a real signal, even though you know neither absolute figure. Read relative rank, not the number.
The next step after you have a list
Do not buy stock yet. Run comments analysis — 12 credits, 300 comments — on two or three videos selling that item. Comments tell you what buyers are complaining about, and that decides whether you can source something better. See researching a niche before buying stock.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see a competitor shop's revenue? No. No public source has that figure.
How many products is 3 pages of results? It depends on the keyword. A narrow keyword returns fewer than the maximum, and that is normal.
How current is the data? As of the moment you run it. Every figure is an estimate from public data the platform displays.
