Pairing affiliates with creators: choosing on selling data

Affiliate pays per order, so the money risk is lower than booking. But you still lose samples, exchange time and space in your schedule. So the criteria differ too: with booking you buy reach, with affiliate you buy ability to close.
Three signals that someone can sell
1. Comments contain purchase questions. The strongest and most discriminating signal. A channel with plenty of "how much", "where do you sell this", "DM me the price" has an audience in a buying frame of mind. A channel with only praise does not.
Measure with comments analysis — 12 credits, 300 comments — on two videos. Count the share of purchase questions.
2. They have used a shopping cart and their content did not change tone. A channel doing affiliate work for a while that still holds its views has an audience that accepts their selling. A channel that just started attaching carts usually dips for a while.
Read the 60 most recent videos with channel report — 5 credits — and see whether views fell after they started selling.
3. The niche matches the product at a specific level. Not "also in beauty" but "also talks about oily skin". See finding creators by niche keyword.
A low-cost screening process
Because affiliate works with many people at once, screen wide then narrow:
Round 1 — no credits. Find creators at 15 credits for 3–4 keywords, then open each channel quickly and drop anything not posted in 30 days.
Round 2 — 5 credits each. Channel report to drop on median views far too low, and on the signs of bought engagement.
Round 3 — 12 credits each, finalists only. Measure the share of purchase questions.
For affiliate, the round 2 threshold should be lower than for booking: a small channel with the right audience is still worth a sample, because you are not paying up front.
Three things to prepare before reaching out
A unique discount code per person, so you know who sold. A short product information page answering the questions customers actually ask — take them from your complaint-theme table, see grouping comments into themes. And a clear commission rate, because that is the first thing they will ask.
Boundaries to remember
CIA does not find email addresses or personal phone numbers, and sells no lists of people to contact. You read the channel's numbers and reach out through whatever public channel they published themselves.
Frequently asked questions
How many people should I send samples to? More than for booking, because per-person cost is lower. But each person is still an exchange, so do not send to anyone who failed round 2.
Can I measure who sold most? Only with a unique code or link. Public data cannot connect views to orders.
Should affiliate and booking run together? Yes, with different objectives: booking for awareness, affiliate for closing.
